Biztech, the technology forum for Milton Keynes and SEMLEP, has named Action4Youth as its Charity of the Year for 2017.
The forum is excited to team up with Action4Youth, who are known in Milton Keynes and across Buckinghamshire for their support for youth clubs and organisations and schools and for delivering outstanding outdoor adventure and learning at the Caldecotte Xperience.
Fredi Nonyelu, the chairman of Biztech, said: “Action4Youth works to inspire and challenge young people through inspirational and transformational experience.
“Having worked with young people I understand how vital it can be to help their growth and development. Learning and sharing is also a key part of what Action4Youth does. This is also one of Biztech’s core values.”
Fredi added: “Engaging with and encouraging young people is vital for the future of the Milton Keynes economy. Many of today’s generation will be working in the technology sector, so for Biztech the association with Action4Youth is a perfect fit.”
Biztech, which has become the charity’s official technology sector supporter, has committed to support Action4Youth by promoting it and their fantastic local facility and activities to the business community.
Nick Lund, Development Director at Action4Youth, said: “Action4youth is proud to have become the charity partner for Biztech. Fredi Nonyelu has been a friend for some time and we are delighted to have Biztech’s support for the coming year. We share a commitment to the young people of our community and working together will enable us to achieve even more, for even more young people.”
Activities at The Caldecotte Xperience include: sailing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing, rowing, climbing, high ropes, caving, archery, fencing, bushcraft and many exciting team building activities.
