The UK’s first all-electric vehicle (EV) showroom will open in Milton Keynes this year, as part of £9 million worth of investment from the UK's Go Ultra Low Cities programme, reports AUTO CAR.
The EV Experience Centre, as it is officially called, will feature cars from multiple brands and will be managed by UK electric car-charging company Chargemaster.
Fifty-two electric cars will be available in the central shopping centre store at launch, with visitors able to try each model before they buy. In the next five years, the number of cars available will rise to 99.
The store is one of several schemes that have come as part of the Go Ultra Low Cities programme. It aims to cut vehicle emissions by growing electric vehicle sales to represent 23% of the UK market by 2021.
