Milton Keynes: A Journey to 2050 is a four-day exhibition being held in the heart of the borough to give everyone the opportunity to come and see what the future plans are for Milton Keynes.
In 2016 the MK Futures 2050 Commission recognised the vast opportunities for Milton Keynes to build on its extensive list of strengths; its strategic geographical location, diverse population, high-performing economy, unique character and innovative forward thinking attitude. The Commission recommended Six Big Projects to capitalise upon these opportunities, to help make our great city greater.
It has now been three years since these recommendations were published.
MK Council wants to share progress with everyone in MK at an exhibition in Middleton Hall where you can explore how the council is moving forward with plans for the future of Milton Keynes from Thursday 4th July to Sunday 7th July.
The exhibition will include:
The shortlisted designs for MK:U, the new model University for Milton Keynes as part of an international design competition
The story of how Milton Keynes will grow to a population of half a million people by 2050
'New Mobility' At a Crossroads including Electric Car, Bike and Scooter + Delivery Robot Demonstrations
The Future of CMK with information about new Residential, Leisure and Retail Developments in CMK
The Creative and Cultured City showcasing how a Festival of Creative Urban Living will transform Midsummer Boulevard
