Sara Penrose Optimisation Training

Sara Penrose’s Optimisation workshops are designed to provide people with advanced training in engineering and logistics in three key skill areas: critical thinking, lateral thinking and problem-solving. They are aimed at solving the advanced skills shortage that has had an impact on these sectors in recent years. Using their 40 years of experience in engineering and logistics, trainers Sara Penrose and John Henderson have developed a 9-stage project process that delegates have to complete through creative tasks in order to complete the workshops, accredited by the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). They also help delegates maximise their potential by awarding them with 7 hours of CPD. Some of the direct benefits of these optimisation training workshops are the increase in productivity, better employee engagement and team interaction, and improved communication and resilience.

About the Workshops

Delegates are coached to complete the 9-stage project process from definition through to evaluation. They are made to practise a continuous cycle of actions to demonstrate the 3 optimisation skills, through a practical, technical, and fun, skill-based creative task. The biggest takeaways from the workshop include:

  • Optimisation report
  • Training completion certificate
  • Optimisation cycle model
  • Completed skilled creative task
