Guests saw for themselves that ambitions for world championship glory at Red Bull Racing did not rest exclusively with the drivers but across a workforce that now exceeds five hundred.
The pressure and responsibility of directing resources and coordinating teamwork into delivering high performance and ultimate race results lay with Team Principal Christian Horner.
Horner’s foresight in recruiting engineers and designers with championship pedigree, coupled with the desire of his two drivers to win their first ever world championship has certainly enhanced the team’s aspirations in 2010.
Away from motorsport, Robert Baxter of Railcare argued for clarity of objectives when striving for high performance, “Overcoming the impression that this was ‘just another management initiative’ from a sceptical workforce was crucial.”
He cited enablement as key and continued, “We are currently starting to capitalise on our excellent results and are in the strongest position we could be in to thrive in these difficult times. Less firefighting is allowing managers to spend the necessary time on real issues.”
