Liz Newell

Liz is a fully qualified accountant with 20 years of experience and an impressive range of specialisms extending from property, manufacturing and technology sectors. She supports businesses that operate on a local, national and international scale, including working with overseas companies to establish subsidiaries here in the UK. She helps her clients prosper through business growth, strengthening governance and securing investments.

Sarah Clarke & Paul Clarke

We are Paul and Sarah Clarke, Directors of Figuringoutdata.com. We formed the company in 2019 to help businesses to use data to figure out how to achieve the most efficient and effective way of delivering services. Prior to this, we worked as consultants providing data analytics and economic modelling services to clients.

Henry Kafeman

I am an Independent Engineering Consultant whose USP is a large breadth of experience across a wide range of engineering disciplines and technologies. Expertise particularly with Software, Systems, Control and Industrial Automation Engineering. Across aspects such as; research, development, project management, liaison, testing, support, troubleshooting, performance/data analysis and Artificial Intelligence Machine Learning. I have worked on applications ranging from embedded, through lab based to complete production lines and individually to working in teams. There are too many specific details to list here! Fredi Nonyelu

Fredi Nonyelu (Founder/CEO Briteyellow) is a visionary technology entrepreneur and expert product designer. A post-graduate alumnus of Cranfield University Business and Product Design Engineering Schools, he has over 30 years’ experience in leading business and innovation. He led the creation of the first city-scale WiFi mesh network in the UK, with funding from English Partnerships. He also built a team and led as a solution architect on Briteyellow’s Innovate UK 3DCLOUD collaborative R&D project creating a 3D indoor positioning and navigation platform.

Prior to founding Briteyellow he led the provision of technology solutions including messaging, meta directories, and trouble ticketing to tier 1 European telecom equipment and service providers such as Nokia, Telia, Telecom Italia, BT, NatWest, MoD, and Cap Gemini. Fredi is passionate about innovation and advances in science and engineering. Fredi is a former chair of Milton Keynes Science and Innovation Steering Group and currently chairs Biztech Technology Forum, a peer-to-peer group of technology leaders across the South East Midlands (UK).

Alan Fletcher

Alan Fletcher is the Head of Research, Enterprise and Scholarship, STEM, at The Open University. He brings over 30 years of commercial and Higher Education Experience to Biztech. As a leader of SME projects in Milton Keynes, he has engaged with many local entrepreneurs in support, mentoring and collaborative bid building. Alan has built and worked in large international research projects such as MK: Smart to contribute to the regional growth agenda, combining the research strength of the OU with the ability to develop relationships and networks to help identify and solve problems.

Haiming Liu

Dr Haiming Liu is a senior lecturer in Computer Science and Technology at the University of Bedfordshire (UoB, where she undertakes research, project supervision and teaching of both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Prior to joining UoB, she worked as a lecturer in Computing at the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and as a user experience developer at Knowledge Media Institute, The Open University. Haiming has developed her expertise in Data Science, Information Science, Computer Science, Information Retrieval and User Experience Design. Haiming is keen on developing business solutions for real-life problems through knowledge transfer projects. Haiming together with her students has helped a large number of SMEs on their technology innovation projects. Haiming believes that a close collaboration between the education sector and business will not only help the business growth but also help the schools and universities to equip their students with the right skills for their future career.

Jane Horridge

Jane has a long track record of delivering improvement, innovation and growth across a variety of business sectors.  Having spent most of her career working at a senior level in large corporates, she has since created a consultancy business where she can take those practices and processes and recreate them in the context of any business supporting SME’s and microbusiness as well as large private and public sector organisations with their strategic planning and delivery and in achieving market growth.  A Senior Partner in the Red Thread Partnership which combines her strategic work with leadership and organisational development, Jane is well networked at a senior level.

Jane is a Board Director and mentor of Women Leaders UK, Ride High (a charity supporting disadvantaged children), and the Campfire Education Trust.  An experienced and well-trained facilitator, personal coach and mentor she is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and holds an Executive MBA from Lancaster University.  She is a qualified Occupational Psychologist.
