Get up to speed with the future of technology and how it is changing lives in Milton Keynes at the Biztech annual Christmas dinner and business networking event.
Top speakers at the networking dinner on Thursday, December 11, will detail the strategies of Milton Keynes Council and how the plans being developed by UCMK relate to the exciting MK: Smart project.
Milton Keynes is aiming for world status in the way technology can be used to change lives for the better and to boost the local and regional economy.
The so-called Internet of Things is much talked about, but do you know what it means and how it could change everything from the time taken for your commute in the morning through to agriculture, town planning and even how supermarkets are stocked.
Geoff Snelson, the Director of Strategy at Milton Keynes Council, will give the Biztech annual headline presentation. He will present MK Council’s Technology Strategy which aims to put the city at the heart of the global smart city movement
We are also delighted to welcome the University of Bedfordshire Professor Mary Malcolm to the annual Christmas dinner at The Swan, Salford, on the outskirts of the city. Professor Malcolm will give a presentation of the University Campus MK’s strategy and how it relates to MK: Smart.
The black-tie event won’t be all about technology. Biztech will also be giving a warm welcome to Ken Birkby, of Action4Youth. It is a Milton Keynes charity supporting young people and Ken will talk about their work in the Milton Keynes community.
As well as the opportunity to network and hear from great speakers there will be a delicious three-course meal at one of the top pub restaurants in the Milton Keynes region. Also included will be a glass of wine and tea and coffee.
Tickets are £40 for members and £45 for non-members.
