Biztech Innovation Roundtable and Challenge Workshop is an in-person event bringing people together to explore biztech innovation and tackle challenges. Join the conversation and workshop—let’s get ideas flowing!

When organisations talk about innovation, the conversation often starts with technology. The real challenge, however, is turning ideas into practical solutions that address genuine business problems.

This interactive session has been designed for business leaders, innovators, researchers and decision-makers who want to move beyond theory and focus on real-world outcomes.

Agenda

02:00 PM - 03:00 PM

Innovation Roundtable

Professor Ben Allen, Andrew Sheldon, Fredi Nonyelu, Henry Kafeman

The event begins with a one-hour Innovation Roundtable, bringing together professionals from across the region to discuss where AI and digital technologies are genuinely delivering value, and where expectations may not yet match reality. Rather than product pitches and sales presentations, participants can expect an honest conversation about the opportunities and challenges organisations face today.

03:00 PM - 06:00 PM

Innovation Challenge Workshop

Fredi Nonyelu, Ben Allen, Henry Kafeman, Axel Segebrecht

The roundtable is followed by a three-hour Innovation Challenge Workshop, where the focus shifts from discussion to action. Participants are encouraged to bring a real business problem, particularly one that has proven difficult to solve internally. Working alongside fellow business leaders, university researchers and Biztech consultants, attendees will explore fresh perspectives, identify practical approaches and develop a shortlist of potential solutions. The session is designed to help organisations break through roadblocks and uncover opportunities for collaboration, innovation and potential funding support
